Adult Art Classes (Still Life)​

​Our first winter series will explore still life art. Participants will have access to pencil and charcoal to create depth and dimension in their pieces. Classes will build on one another, however, they may be taken separately as individual classes.  

We will be meeting on the following dates:
Wednesday, February 29
Wednesday, February 26
Wednesday, March 5

All classes meet from 11:00am - 12:30pm at the Fishkill Recreation Center.

No experience required. Everyone is welcome!

​Our second winter series will explore mixed media art. Participants will utilize a variety of mediums to create unique and interesting pieces. Classes will build on one another, however, they may be taken separately as individual classes.

All classes meet from 11:00am - 12:30pm at the Fishkill Recreation Center.

​June 2019


November 2018

During November, participants worked with watercolor paint. First, they used household items such as salt and rubbing
​alcohol to explore different textures and effects. Then, they explored perspective to create mountain scenes.


​​October 2018

Our October block focused on charcoal/pastel still life. These classes were festive and and utilized local farmed
goods. Participants practiced the basics of still life, became familiarized with charcoal materials, and created
​an autumn still life composition.
